Whilst we are still in lockdown and the gallery is closed to the public, we have not been idle. Sifting through our solander boxes to uncover some overlooked drawings for an online show. The thirty drawings make a timely appearance just before the holidays and as they are all modestly priced, we hope that this selection includes something for everyone.
We are delighted to include a number of drawings from our historic holdings of works by Cornelius Varley and James Ward, drawings that we have not made available since our exhibitions on these two artists in 2005 and 2013 respectively. Other highlights include a cache of comic studies by George Dance from an album that we have never before offered, as well as rare drawings by artists as diverse as Pieter Casteels and Dante Gabriel Rosetti.
Whilst the gallery remains closed to the public, we are available to send additional images, give condition reports and offer further information on any sheets that might be of interest. We are also happy to provide quotes for shipping and framing for those works sold mounted only.
